Engine Oils
Engine oils are specifically tested for
their su ita b ility in ou r engines.
Therefore, use only engine oils
recom m ended by us. In fo rm a tio n on
recom m ended brands is available at
any MERCEDES-BENZ service
station.
A new or re c o n d itio n e d engine is filled
with an initial ope ra tio n oil in the
factory or in a MERCEDES-BENZ
service station. This oil is specially
developed fo r the sp e cific operating
c o n d ition s d u rin g the firs t 300— 600
m iles (500— 1,000 km).
A re com m ended engine oil may be
used fo r to p p in g up if the oil level
d rops to the d ip stick m inim um m ark
p rio r to the firs t service 300— 600
m iles (500— 1,000 km).
Brake Fluid
B ra k e flu id should be changed once a
year, p re fe ra b ly in spring. Only use
brake flu id re com m ended by us. For
fu rth e r in fo rm a tio n, refer to “ Save
D rivin g ” .
