Troubleshooting

Auxiliary heating/ventilation* and

heater booster system*

Problem

Possible cause/consequence

Suggested solutions

The auxiliary heating or the heater booster

system is not functioning.

The fuel tank is only filled up to the re-

serve range.

Refuel at the nearest filling station.

The vehicle battery is nearly discharged.

Charge the vehicle battery.

The auxiliary heating is faulty.

Have the auxiliary heating checked at a

qualified specialist workshop.

The auxiliary heating cannot be switched

on or off using the remote control.

FAIL and the

symbol are shown on

the remote control display.
There is interference in the signal trans-

mission between the remote control and

auxiliary heating/ventilation.

Stand somewhere else in relation to the

vehicle or move closer to the vehicle if

necessary.
Try to switch the auxiliary heating on or

off again using the remote control.

FAIL and the

symbol are shown on

the remote control display.
The fuel level in the fuel tank is too low.

Refuel at the nearest filling station.
