Driving systems
The warning display for each side of the ve-
hicle is divided into five yellow and two red
segments. Park Assist is operational if yel-
low information displays
3
under the seg-
ments light up.
The transmission position determines
which warning display is active:
One or more segments light up as the vehi-
cle approaches an obstacle, depending on
the vehicle’s distance from the obstacle.
When the first red segment lights up,
you will hear an intermittent warning signal
for approximately two seconds. After the
second red segment lights up, you will hear
a continuous warning signal. You have
reached the minimum distance.
i
The warning displays and warning tones may
be triggered as a result of heavy rain, e.g. by wa-
ter running off in the area around the sensors.
Collision warning
Park Assist can detect objects from a con-
siderable distance. If you reverse towards
an obstacle, you will hear a warning. You
must then brake to avoid a collision. The
collision warning does not sound if you are
very close to the obstacle. You will then
hear the relevant warning tone for the
warning display in the rear area.
i
A collision warning may be triggered as a re-
sult of heavy rain, e.g. by water running off in the
area around the sensors.
