Driving systems
Ultrasonic sources such as a lorry’s com-
pressed-air brakes, a pneumatic drill or an auto-
matic car wash could cause Parktronic to
malfunction.
i
The sensors must be free from dirt, ice and
slush, otherwise they are not able to work prop-
erly. Clean the sensors regularly, taking care not
to scratch or damage them.
Minimum distance
All warning displays light up and a warning
tone sounds if there is an obstacle within
this range. If your vehicle’s distance falls
below the minimum distance, its continued
approach will no longer be shown.
Warning displays
The warning displays show the distance
between the bumper and the obstacle. The
warning display for the front area is in the
instrument cluster. The warning display for
the rear area is at the rear in the roof trim.

The warning display for each side of the ve-

under the seg-
ments light up.
The transmission position determines
which warning display is active:
One or more segments light up as the vehi-
cle approaches an obstacle, depending on
the vehicle’s distance from the obstacle.
When the first red segment lights up,
you will hear an intermittent warning signal
for approximately two seconds. After the
second red segment lights up, you will hear
a continuous warning signal. You have
reached the minimum distance.
