Controls

Automatic air conditioning

To switch on:

press the

rocker

switch up or down.
The indicator lamp in the

rocker

switch lights up.

To switch off:

press the

rocker

switch up or down.
or
Adjust the air distribution

( page 211).
or
Adjust the airflow ( page 338).
The indicator lamp in the

rocker

switch goes out. The automatic air

conditioning is switched off.
You can control the air distribution

( page 211) or airflow manually.

The temperature can be set separately for

each side of the vehicle using temperature

tumbler switch

and

Vary the temperature settings in small in-

crements only. 22 °C is the ideal tempera-

ture to start with.

To increase or reduce the tempera-

ture:

press the temperature control

switch up or down.
The automatic air conditioning adjusts

to the set temperature.

You can also set the temperature using

COMAND ( page 210).

To switch on:

press the

airflow

control switch up or down.
The airflow is increased or reduced.

The indicator lamp in the

rocker

switch goes out.

You can also set the airflow using COMAND

( page 211).

You should only retain this setting until the

windscreen is cleared again.

To switch on:

press the

;

rocker

switch up or down.
The indicator lamp in the rocker switch

comes on.

The automatic air conditioning switch-

es to the following functions:

Cooling with dehumidification on
High airflow
High temperature
Air distribution in the direction of

the windscreen and front side win-

dows

To switch off:

press the

;

rocker

switch up or down.
The indicator lamp in the button goes

out. The previously selected settings

take effect again. The cooling function

with dehumidification remains on.

The function can also be switched off using

the temperature control switches or the airflow

control switches.

COMAND is switched off ( page 212).
Make sure that air-recirculation mode

is switched off ( page 339).
