The components and operating principles of
COMAND can be found on ( page 59).
In this menu, you can set the following ve-
hicle functions:
Rear window blind*
Exterior-mirror convenience settings*
Easy-entry/exit feature
Exterior lighting delayed switch-off
Interior lighting delayed switch-off
Ambient light*
Locator lighting
Automatic locking
Interior motion sensor*
Tow-away protection*
Boot lid opening limiter*
You can use this function to retract and ex-
tend the rear window blind.

You can assign this function to the program-
mable button ( page 199).
Select "Vehicle" .
The main area is active.
To select the "rear window blind"
function: slide o m p or turn y m z .
To retract or extend the rear win-
dow blind: press n .
or
Select "Vehicle" "Vehicle" "Rear
window blind" .
To confirm the selection: press n .

Make sure that the rear window blind can
move freely. Otherwise, the blind or other ob-
jects could be damaged.

The rear window blind is disabled at temper-
atures below –20 °C.
In the "Exterior-mirror convenience set-
tings" menu, the following exterior mirror
functions can be switched on or off:
Folding the exterior mirrors in when
locking
Automatically tilting down the exterior
mirror on the front-passenger side
when reversing
Select
"Vehicle" .
