COMAND
COMAND navigation system* (entering a destination)
To accept the first list entry: press
and hold n until the address input
menu appears.
COMAND has automatically accepted
the first list entry and entered it in the
address input menu.
To cancel an entry: select "Back" in
the bottom line and press n .
or
Press the L back button.
The input characters 6 disappear if
COMAND is able to uniquely assign the
characters entered to one town. The list of
towns is shown without the input charac-
ters. Here you can make another selection.
It is also possible to change to the town
list without input characters manually
at any time during character input.
To change manually to the town list
without input characters: slide q m .
or
Select ? in the second to bottom line
and press n .

To cancel the selection: select "Back"
and press n .
or
Press the L back button.
To confirm the selection: press n .
If the town name is followed by icon 1
this means that there is more than one
town with the same name in the select-
ed country. If you confirm one of these
towns, a further sub-selection will ap-
pear.
The address input menu appears again
if no other options are available.
COMAND has accepted the selected
town and automatically entered it in
the address input menu.
Entering a postcode

If you have entered a town name and then
enter a postcode, this will delete the town name.
You can only enter postcodes that are stored on
the digital map.
Select "Postcode" in the address input
menu.
The display shows either the postcode
list with input characters or without in-
put characters ( page 147).
Whether or not the input characters are
displayed depends on how many post-
codes are available for the country se-
lected.
