6. Locate and Identify the Rear Burner Orifice Spud and
the Front Burner Orifice Spud. Both Front and Rear
Orifice Spuds are to be removed and installed using a
½” deep well socket and ratchet. It is required that you
use an additional open-end wrench to hold the back-
side fitting that is located outside the firebox. This will
prevent rotation of the fittings and tubes outside the
firebox.
NOTE: Failure to use an extra
wrench to hold the back-side fitting
can result in the brass fitting sliding
outward and will make it very
difficult to reassemble.
7. Install Rear Burner Orifice #65-14-00116(#1/16th drill)
for the Rear Burner. Tighten down securely. Install
Front Burner Orifice #65-14-00055 (#55 drill) for the Front Burner. Tighten down securely.
8. Locate Pilot Light on right side of firebox where the rear and front burner ends meet. While holding the pilot base body
with large vice grips tightly, loosen pilot light hood using a 7/16” open end wrench on the hex shaped base. Rotate
counter clock-wise ¼ turn to loosen. DO NOT REMOVE THE PILOT HOOD, ONLY LOOSEN.
9. Pilot arrives from the factory set for NG. Push NG/LP adjustment clip inward all the way to set it for LP. If you see “NAT”
printing on the adjustment clip, this indicates that the pilot is set to burn NG. Push clip in so that “NAT” is not visible.
10. Tighten down hex shaped base of pilot using a 7/16” open end wrench.
CAUTION: Always use one 7/16” open end wrench and one large pliers or vice grips tool to hold, loosen and tighten pilot hood
base to prevent damage to pilot mount bracket.
11. Replace Valve Access Cover, Burner Airbox and secure burners to original location. Make certain burner tube curves are
following air slots in burner Airbox in a parallel fashion.
