5. Precautions for UIM
CAUTION
Do
Use the adapter at the specified
power source and voltage.
Also, if charging the FOMA
terminal overseas, use an AC
adapter available overseas.
Using at the wrong voltage may
result in fire, burns, or electric shock.
AC adapter: 100V AC
DC adapter: 12/24V DC (for
negative grounded vehicles only)
AC adapter usable overseas:
100 to 240V AC (Connect only with
household AC outlet)
Do
If the fuse of the DC adapter
blows, replace it with the
specified fuse.
Failure to do so may cause fire,
burns, or electric shock. See each
instruction manual for the specified
fuse.
Do
Keep the power plug dust-free.
Failure to do so may cause fire,
burns, or electric shock.
Do
Plug the AC adapter firmly into
an outlet.
Failure to do so may cause fire,
burns, or electric shock.
Do
When removing the adapter or
charging adapter from the outlet
or cigarette lighter socket, do not
forcibly pull the adapter cord,
instead hold the power plug and
pull it out.
Failure to do so may cause fire,
burns, or electric shock.
Unplug
If you do not use the adapter for a
long time, unplug the power plug
from the outlet or cigarette
lighter socket.
Failure to do so may cause fire,
burns, or electric shock.
Unplug
If liquids such as water get into
the adapter, unplug the power
plug from the outlet or cigarette
lighter socket.
Failure to do so may cause fire,
burns, or electric shock.
Unplug
Before cleaning the adapter, pull
the plug out of the outlet or
cigarette lighter socket.
Failure to do so may cause fire,
burns, or electric shock.
Do
Be careful not to touch the edge
of UIM when removing it.
Injury may result.
