■Passcode for the Bluetooth function
The passcode for the Bluetooth function is an
authentication code used for Bluetooth
devices attempting to initiate communication
with each other to identify the other device
and allow connection. The same passcode
(which consists of up to 16 alphanumeric
characters) needs to be entered on both the
sending and receiving devices.
The FOMA terminal may use the term "PIN"
to refer to the passcode.
Setting the Bluetooth function
to ON to make the FOMA
terminal available for detection

From the Home screen,

→ "Settings" → "Wireless &
network" → "Bluetooth
settings".

Mark the "Bluetooth"
checkbox.

Mark the "Discoverable"
checkbox.
•
For about 120 seconds, the FOMA
terminal is available for detection from
another Bluetooth device.
■ To name the FOMA terminal
"Device name" → enter a terminal name
→ "OK"

When the screen that
prompts Bluetooth
connection paring appears,
tap "Pair" or enter the
passcode (PIN) depending on
the condition → "OK".
NOTE
To save battery power, set the Bluetooth
function to OFF when it is not in use.
The ON/OFF setting of the Bluetooth
function remains unchanged even after the
power is turned off.
Pairing and connecting to
another Bluetooth device

Tap "Scan for devices" on
the Bluetooth setting
screen.

A list of the detected Bluetooth
devices is displayed.

Tap the device you want to
connect.

Enter the passcode (PIN) for
pairing → "OK".
Canceling the pairing

In the Bluetooth device list,
touch and hold the device
whose pairing you want to
cancel → "Unpair".
