Do not overload the hoist rope!
Make sure that no objects hit the loaded hoist rope. That could damage the rope.
Always make sure that no slack rope develops during crane operation when the
hoist rope is unreeled. Slack rope causes rope loops on the hoist drum, which can
result in the load slipping and the hoist rope being damaged irreparably.

Weather influences
Wind
Strong winds, in particular gusts of wind, can result in the truck crane becoming
overloaded.
The maximum permissible wind speed according to the
lifting capacity table
must
not be exceeded. The values in the
lifting capacity table
apply to the permissible
wind surface of the load. If the actual wind surface of your load is larger, then the
maximum permissible wind speed must be reduced. More information on this top-
ic;

Check the wind speeds at the anemometer con-
tinuously during crane operation.
If the maximum permissible wind speed is
exceeded, only a visual warning is issued –
no automatic shutdown is carried out!
If the maximum permissible wind speed is
exceeded, you must interrupt crane operation
immediately and take appropriate measures;

If an anemometer is not available or in the event
of a fault, you can find out which wind speeds are
forecast by contacting the relevant weather
stations.
