Off-road driving
You may only drive off-road if these requirements are met:
– The main boom is set down on the boom rest.
– The superstructure is secured against slewing.
– The hook block is secured and cannot swing.
When driving off-road, you must know the load-bearing capacity of the planned
off-road route and the axle loads of the truck crane to avoid the truck crane
sinking into the ground when driving.
You may only drive straight over an obstacle (e.g. a large hump or a step in
the ground) if you are sure that the underside of the truck crane will not hit the
obstacle. If the obstacle cannot be driven over straight, you must drive over it
diagonally.
You must know when your truck crane is no longer safe on inclines.
Use all equipment of your truck crane that makes off-road driving easier.
Bear in mind that your truck crane could be damaged if you drive too fast on
uneven ground. Do not take this risk and drive slower the more uneven the
off-road ground is.
