Lattice extension

Your truck crane can be equipped with different lattice extensions. 
All lattice extensions increase the range and thus the application options of your 
truck crane. However, they require very special safety precautions, both for 
rigging and also for crane operation. 

Only use your truck crane with the counterweight sections that belong to 
your truck crane!

Your truck crane and the corresponding lattice extensions are adapted to each 
other. Your truck crane and the corresponding lattice extensions are labelled with 
the same serial number. The truck crane may only be operated with these lattice 
extensions.

Observe the supplied documentation! 

Only assemble the lattice extensions in the combinations that are specified as 
approved combinations in the supplied 

lattice extension operating manual

. 

Other combinations are prohibited.

Only use the lattice extensions for the rigging modes specified in the supplied 

lifting capacity table

 (lattice length, counterweight combination, outrigger span, 

slewing range, telescope status). Other rigging modes are prohibited!

Observe the sequence specified in the checklists for rigging work. The descrip-
tion of the individual rigging steps assumes that all the required, previous rigging 
work has already been carried out according to the checklist used.

Observe the required transport conditions! 

Make sure that the required transport condition is established according to the 
supplied 

lattice extension operating manual 

before you install or remove a lattice 

extension and before you perform crane operation or drive the truck crane with 
folded lattice extension. An incorrectly established transport condition is 
dangerous for various operations.

– The lattice extension could fall down during rigging or swing unexpectedly 

because the required connections have not been established.

– The folded lattice extension could fall down during crane operation or when 

driving the truck crane.

– When driving, the lattice extension could hit the main boom or swing out 

unexpectedly when driving around corners. 

– The permissible vehicle width or height could be exceeded when driving.
