Outrigger
The prescribed outrigger span can be found in the
lifting capacity table
.
Only extend the outriggers to the outrigger spans specified in the
lifting capacity
table
for the planned application.
Always extend all outrigger beams, even if you are only working on one side.
The variable outrigger spans at which the outrigger beams are partially extended
to different widths may only be used when the
MAXbase
slewing range type is
used.
If the
standard
slewing range type is used, all outrigger beams must be extended
to the same outrigger span. The only exceptions to this are special outrigger
bases that are explicitly permitted in the supplied
operating manual
and
lifting
capacity table
.
Cordon off the area where you intend to extend
and retract the outrigger beams. Nobody is
allowed to be in this area.
Observe the movements of the outrigger beams
and outrigger cylinders when you operate
the outrigger or have them observed by a
banksman who is in visual contact with you.
Risk of crushing!
Compensate for uneven ground with the outrigger
cylinders. However, do not extend one outrigger
cylinder significantly more than the others. If the
support material is pressed into the ground, the
outrigger cylinders must still have sufficient
remaining stroke for compensation.
Always level the truck crane before operating the crane!
Check the alignment at the inclination indicators.
Always make sure that none of the wheels is touching the ground!
If necessary, lift the truck crane evenly with the outrigger cylinders or use the axle
lift to lift the relevant axle line – if it is available.
Never try to incline your truck crane to achieve a larger working radius. The truck
crane must always be level during the entire crane operation.
