Driving with separate steering

This section only applies if your truck crane is equipped with a separate steering.

When the separate steering is switched on, the rear axle lines can be steered 
independently of the front axle lines.

Bear in mind that when driving with separate steering switched on, 
the truck crane’s vehicle handling changes!

The turning circle of the truck crane will be smaller if you turn the wheels of the 
front and rear axle lines in the opposite direction.
The truck crane will move diagonally to the side if you turn the wheels of the front 
and rear axle lines in the same directions (crab travel mode).

After driving with separate steering, switch the truck crane back to normal driving 
mode. Before driving on the road in particular, make sure that the steering 
is switched to normal steering mode (separate steering switched off).
