1 The tips are not taken properly
• Y-axis is not calibrated properly;
• There is too much grease on the piston tips;
• Pistons need maintenance
1 Recalibrate Y-axis accordingly
2 Remove extra grease and examine the condition of pistons
2 Cartridges are bending
• Cartridge rack is not installed properly;
• M-axis is misaligned due to mechanical impact
1 Make sure cartridge rack is positioned all the way inside the machine When you push the rack
inside you will hear a dull click sound There are magnets at the back of the rack holder so when the
rack is pushed back they will "pull" it to the right position
2 If after positioning the rack the problem keeps reoccurring, check if the metal part the rack that
helps to position the rack is loose or is not in the correct position
3 Make sure cartridges feet properly on M-axis (the gap between the heater and magnetic bar is the
same size as the cartridge)
3 Liquid inside the piston
• Bad tip filter;
• Clean the pistons following the directions for cleaning the pistons;
• Sample/Pretreatment issue
1 Replace the pistons/ Send pistons for maintenance
2 Follow RBC protocol provided in the manual
4 UV doesn't turn on
• Parts are wearing off
1 Turn on UV first and then measure the voltage in the cable, the voltage should be around 110/220V
(main power) when relay is on, V=0 V when relay is off Relay will make a click noise when turning
on, if it doesn't turn on or Vin measurement is always 0 V, PCB has to be replaced
2 Check fuse F1 on PCB, if fuse is burnt it has to be replaced
3 Check connections
4 If your measurement is correct, connect the cable to the lamp holder:
- If the lamp turns on – the problem is gone;
- If the lamp stays off try to adjust its position (turn the lamp) If the lamp is in proper position but
still stays off change the lamp If the new lamp does not turn on the holder is broken and has to be
replaced
* Remember to reset UV light time ON after UV lamp is replaced UV lamp lifetime is 11000 hours
Go to RD mode-->Resetting-->Clean-->UV time on will erase the previous value and reset to 0
