System
If you want to change the kind of service and system
settings supported by the phone, review the items in the
System category.
On the top right part of the Settings screen, select the
main category and the category list displays.
Tap System .
Changing System Select
You can change the system the phone works in. Either only in the Home
Service Area or in another area supporting Service.
1. Tap the pop up menu next to the System Sel Label.
2. Highlight the desired item from the options.

Home Only The mobile station provides service in home systems as
defined by the SID/NID in the current NAM and
systems where the roaming indicator is turned off in the
PRL.

Automatic A The mobile station provides service in the A-band
cellular CDMA Preferred.
▶
Automatic B The mobile station provides service in the B-band
cellular CDMA Preferred.
Changing Force Call
Your phone provides you with three call mode options (Off, Analog, CDMA-
IS95). If you place an outgoing call or if 10 minutes elapses, it will return to Off
automatically.
1. Tap the pop up menu next to the Force Call Label.
2. Highlight the item you want from the options.
