The user interface

During the desoldering process, the button is displayed as a stop button [Stop
desoldering process] stop button. It terminates the soldering and desoldering
process. The component is stored or the head moves to the parking position.
With respect to this, please read the chapter Profiles [

– [Calibrate process at melting temperature]: Calibrates the measurement of the
thermocouple or IRS sensor used on the heater head to correct a deviation
from the melting point in the real melting point profile. Use the camera image
of the optional RPC camera to assess the melting time. Click on the button as
soon as the solder melts. Calibration to this melting temperature LT (Liquidus
Temperature) has occurred. After calibration, a query dialog appears at the end
of the process. If you confirm it with [OK], the calibrated LT value will be stored
in the current profile.
[Calibrate process at melting temperature] is disabled if you are logged in as
the default user. The melting point temperature saved in the profile may only
be used for subsequent soldering processes if the solder, assembly, PCB and
thermocouple position parameters are identical.
Note: You can then delete this value and reset the original settings, in case you
have reactivate the process at a later point. With regard to this, please read the
chapter The work area [Profile library] [

– [Switch top cooling fan on/off]: Switches the upper cooling on or off in manual
mode (without soldering profile). The upper cooling is activated after the HR
600/2 is switched on. With respect to this, please read the chapter Profiles
[

– [Move heating head up]: Moves the heating head to its upper end position.
– [Move pipette up]: Moves the pipette to its upper end position.
– [Switch bottom cooling on/off]: Switches the lower cooling on or off in manual
mode. You can use this function also for cooling down an assembly. After click-
ing this button, the assembly is cooled down for another 90 seconds.
– [Move heating head down]: By left-clicking, you can move the heating head to
a 60 mm working height. Right-click on this button to launch the context menu.
Here you can bring the heating head to one of the seven heights available.
– [Move pipette down]: Moves the suction pipette to its lower end position.
When the drive comes into contact with a component, the former will auto-
matically stop.
– [Switch pipette vacuum on/off]: Activates or deactivates the vacuum of the
suction pipette. When vacuum is active, the button is highlighted.
[Parking position]: Moves the heads to the park position.
