Working with the HR 600/2 unit
ð Proper polarity means: If Pin 1 is for example located top left in the solder-
ing position, also PIN 1 of the prepared component must be arranged on
the top left.
b) In the function selection field, enable the tab [Placement].
ð In the work area, a drop-down menu appears.
c) Select the appropriate component type from the drop-down menu.
ð
[undefined] = all other component types, [BGA] = Ball Grid Array, [QFP] =
Quad Flat Package, [PLCC] = Plastic Leaded Chip Carrier, [MLF] = [Micro
Lead Package], [SOIC] = Small Outline IC, [CSP] = Chip Scale Package, [LED]
= Light-emitting diode, [CBGA] = Ceramic Ball Grid Array, [Interposer BGA]
= BGA on wiring layer, [BGA Socket] = Ball Grid Array Socket.

The component detection system of the camera is enhanced for the selec-
ted component type.
d) In the automation bar, click on the button. If the component connectors are
not properly detected, click this button several times to improve detection.
ð
The component filter is applied. The camera will then re-detect the con-
nection of the component.
6.5.3.2.4 Performing the positioning process
Version 1: Single-step mode:
In this mode, the process is always stopped when an input is expected from the
user.
ü To start the placement process in the single-step mode:
a) In the function selection field, enable the tab [Placement].
b) In the automation bar, click on the button.
ð The single-step mode is started.
ð The camera head is moved to the target position that was last approached.
ð The crosshair is activated.
ð
When the crosshair is not in the centre of the target position:
c) Move the head by clicking on the buttons , or until the crosshair can
be seen in the centre of the target position.
ð The process is stopped.
d) Click on the button to proceed to the next step.
ð
The picture of the target position is saved.
ð The head moves to the glass plate.
ð The contours of the component are identified and displayed as a red area.
