6 | Function description
Working with the HR 600/2 unit
Version 1:
ü Position the head using the laser:
a) In the functional area, enable the [Placement] button.
ð In the work area, the buttons and the visual displays for the placement
process appear.
b) Click on the button.
ð The laser is turned on.
c) Move the head by clicking on the buttons , or until the laser beam
can be seen on the centre of the component.
d) Activate the tab [Placement] in the menu bar.
e) Click on [Reference positions] in the [Heating head to laser] menu area.
ð The heating head moves now to the position of the laser beam. Keep the
travel path of the axles clear!
Version 2:
ü
Position the head with the help of the upper camera:
a) Activate the tab [Camera and light] in the menu bar.
b) In the [Live video] menu area, select the upper camera by clicking on the [Cam-
era selection] button.
c) Activate the tab [Placement] in the menu bar.
d) In the menu area, [Crosshair], click on [Switch ON/OFF].
ð
The crosshair is displayed.
e) Move the head by clicking on the buttons , or until the crosshair can
be seen in the centre of the component.
f) In the menu bar, click on [Heating head to camera].
ð The heating head now moves to the position of the crosshair. Keep the
travel path of the axles clear!
6.5.3.1.6 Desoldering a component
CAUTION
Risk of burning due to heated machine parts and PCB!
All heated machine parts as well as the surrounding housing parts and product sup-
port frame, the circuit board and the components become hot even during warm-up
to the process temperature [Tinit]!
Parts are particularly hot during the soldering process! After the soldering process,
wait until the device and the PCB have cooled down and reached non-hazardous tem-
peratures!
a) In the menu bar, enable the [Start] tab:
