Installation and Preparation
2.2 Precautions Concerning Installation Location
Be sure to observe the following precautions when installing the KFM2151.
●
Do not u se the prod u ct in a flamma b le atmosphere.
To prevent the possibility of explosion or fire, do not use the product near
alcohol, thinner or other combustible materials, or in an atmosphere containing
such vapors.
●
A v oid locations w here the prod u ct is exposed to high temperat u re or
direct s u nlight.
Do not place the product near a heater or in areas subject to drastic temperature
changes.
Spec guaranteed temperature range: +20 °C to +30 °C
Storage temperature range: -20 °C to +70 °C

A v oid h u mid en v ironments.
Do not install the product in high-humidity locations near a boiler, humidifier, or
water supply.
Spec guaranteed relative humidity range:
20 % to 85 % (no condensation)
Storage relative humidity range: 0 to 90 % (no condensation)
Condensation may occur even within the spec guaranteed humidity range. If this
occurs, do not use the product until the condensation dries up completely.

Be s u re to u se it indoors.
This product is designed for safe indoor use.
●
Do not place the prod u ct in a corrosi v e atmosphere.
Do not install the product in a corrosive atmosphere or in environments
containing sulfuric acid mist, etc. This may cause corrosion of various
conductors and bad contacts of connectors inside the tester leading to
malfunction and failure, or in the worst case, a fire.
●
Do not place the prod u ct in a d u sty location.
Accumulation of dust can lead to electric shock or fire.
●
Do not u se the prod u ct w here v entilation is poor.
Secure adequate space around the product so that air can circulate around it.
●
Do not place o b jects on the prod u ct.
Placing heavy objects on top of the product may cause failures.
●
Do not install the prod u ct on an inclined s u rface or location s ub ject to
v i b rations.
The product may fall or tip over causing damages and injuries.
●
Do not u se the prod u ct in a location w here strong magnetic or electric
fields are near b y or a location w here large amo u nt of distortion and noise
is present on the inp u t po w er s u pply w a v eform.
The product may malfunction.
