Command Reference
Introduction
This chapter documents all MT1200 commands.
There are many commands that affect operation of the MT1200. Some commands
affect performance under specific conditions, some change parameters affecting
general operation and others direct a one-time action.
The user changes parameters and issues instructions to the MT1200 by typing
commands composed of plain-text words or abbreviations, and variables which are
numbers or strings of characters chosen by the user, and then pressing ENTER. The
default settings of most commands will likely never need to be changed.
Default values are stored in the EPROM section of the MT1200 microprocessor. If you
change any setting or value, it will be stored automatically within a few seconds, and will
be the value used at future power-on.
Format Defining Commands
The Command Line
The first line of each command definition shows the syntax for entering the command,
beginning with the name of the command, followed by a listing of any parameters that
may be used with the command.
The full name of each command is shown in CAPS and a “short-form” of the command
is shown by the underlined characters in the name. The short-form of the command is
the shortest string of characters, starting from the beginning of the full name that will
allow the MT1200 to uniquely identify the command being requested.
The MT1200 scans an internal list of commands—which is NOT in alphabetical order—
and selects the first match with the string you enter.
The command name is followed by a space.
After the space, there may be one or more parameters that need to be used, or that
may optionally be used, with the command.
•
Values that need to be entered as they are shown (or by using the short-form
indicated by the underlined character(s)) are shown in CAPS , as in “ON | OFF”.
