checksum. LINESUB data received through the radio port is passed out the serial port.
(see the LINESUB mode section of this manual).
When INTFACE is set to MODEM, the MT1200 mirrors at the RS232 port @ 1200 baud
what it receives at the radio port (for more information, see the “modem mode” in the
Modes of Operation chapter). Note that ABAUD must also be set to 1200 baud.
When INTFACE is set to POLL mode, the MT1200 becomes a transparent addressed
modem device. (see the POLL mode section of this manual).
When INTFACE is set to TUP mode, the MT1200 becomes a transparent addressed
packet modem device, using the AX.25 protocol. (see the TUP mode section of this
manual).
When INTFACE is set to GPS, the MT1200 will enter GPS mode upon power up. Data
from the serial port will be parsed according to the GTEXT command, that text will be
stored in the LOCATION buffer, and beacons will be transmitted according to the setting
of the GBEACON command. This function is not available in the MT1200G.
For instructions on exiting KISS, XKISS, LINESUB, MODEM, POLL, and TUP modes,
see the appropriate sections of the “modes of operation” chapter of this manual.
NOTE: After changing the setting of this command to KISS, XKISS, LINESUB, MODEM,
POLL, TUP, or GPS, a soft reset is required for the new mode to take effect (see
RESET for details).
