Leave J4 in normal position (not HT) when using Kenwood HTs, or when
using the isolation circuit (cap and resistor) in the external cable between the
MT1200 and the radio.
Optional Connections to DSUB-9 Radio Port
Pin 7 of the DSUB-9 connector may be used as a “trigger”, to cause the MT1200 to
transmit a GPS packet upon release of the microphone PTT.
Connections to the I/O jack
The I/O jack on the MT1200 is a 10-pin terminal block type, socket. Six of the pins are
three pairs of optically isolated digital inputs, and two pins are analog inputs. The analog
inputs are capable of sensing voltages in the range of 0 to +3.3 V.
NOTE:
the mating plug for the I/O jack is not included in the package with the MT1200.
It can be ordered separately as an accessory from Kantronics, or can be ordered from a
suitable supplier.
