18 battery cells, D-Size, Alkaline or Lithium and one 9 V Alkaline Battery (6LR61) Equipment

Precaution
Battery pack voltage shall never drop below 6 V (Alkaline) or 17 V (SAFT LSH20 Lithium)
After a long storage period of the unit or before new deployment at sea, it is
recommended to install new battery packs.
Step Action
1.
Prepare and check 18 off D-Size cells and one 9 V Alkaline battery (6LR61).
2.
Open the Release Transponder. Follow the PM02.
3.
Remove the 4 screws from the printed circuit board to access to the batteries
4.
Tilt the instrument to remove used batteries
5.
Insert the new batteries:
Positive (+) terminal first in the compartments under the electronic board and
Negative (-) terminal first in the compartments above the electronic board.
Please respect the sense of fitting of batteries.
Slightly tilt the device to prevent shocks.
6.
Re-install the battery printed circuit board with its four screws
