Subject: Decommissioning Periodicity: every time you put the RT961B2S in short and
long-term storage between two successive periods of using
the B2S releasing system.
Duration: 30 minutes
List of tools required: (those are normally supplied together with any instrument) Equipment
•
ALLEN key and its extension arm (ref FO910 2971 or FOKIT-B2S)
•
Two ALLEN keys 5 mm for partial dismantle of hook
•
One metal bar not provided by IXSEA
The armed position of the unit is recommended for transport. Precautions
For any handling operation, use the suitable handling gear (lifting gear, shackles, slings,
straps...).
For any transport and/or storage, the system must be stowed in its dedicated case.

Step Action
1.
Follow the cleaning procedure described in PM01.
2.
For greasing purposes: remove, clean and grease all the pins.
3.
Reassemble the Release Transponder.
4.
Inhibit the PINGER ON function.
5.
Store in the dedicated case.
6.
For storage longer than one week, remove the battery packs. See PM03.
7.
For storage length longer than three months, charge the remote control unit prior to
storage. See remote control unit User Manual for more details.
8.
End of procedure.
