Electrical connections must be made by certified electricians in compliance with all inter-
national, national, state, and local rules.

Refer to driver/coupling/gear manufacturer's installation and operation manuals (IOM) for
specific instructions and recommendations.

Connect coupling. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
"Spider-Insert" type couplings are pre-assembled.

If a coupling guard is furnished with the unit, make sure it is securely fastened.

The coupling guard used in an ATEX classified environment must be properly certi-

fied and constructed from a spark resistant material.

•

Running a pump without safety devices exposes operators to risk of serious personal
injury or death. Never operate a unit unless appropriate safety devices (guards, etc.)

this manual.
