This power supply sensor can report a loss of ac power or a power
supply failure.
1. If a power supply failure is reported, replace the power supply.
2. If ac loss is reported, check that the system may have been
unpluged or lost ac input.
PSU Over Spec

This sensor reports that the power supply output load has been
exceeded and usually occurs if there is a short circuit in the
system.
1. Unplug the hard disk drives to isolate a short circuit to the
system-board tray.
2. (Trained service technician only) Check under the system
board for a short circuit to the chassis ground.
3. (Trained service technician only) Replace the system-board
tray.
4. (Trained service technician only) Replace the power-supply
paddle card.
PSU Over Temp

1. Check the operation of the power-supply fan.
2. Check the server for proper cooling.
3. Make sure that the server is not in an environment that
exceeds ambient air specifications.
SEL Fullness

Clear the BMC log (see “Using the BIOS configuration utility
program” on page 156).

1. Check BMC log for a 5 V failure (Sensor 37h) and follow the
suggested actions.
