Maintenance

6.1

UV lamp replacement

The lamp needs replacement as its intensity is attenuated with use. Replace the UV lamp
immediately when the accumulation time of the UV lamp exceeds 8700 hours, with the sign,
"UV Total over" being indicated on the display.

Note

Be careful not to break the glass tube surrounding the lamp when replacing the lamp.

Q

How to Replace

1.

Turn OFF the power.

2.

Stop the sample supplying.

3.

Leave it as it is for 10 minutes until the UV lamp is cooled.

4.

Loosen the knurled screw and open the lamp cover.

5.

Remove the connector.

6.

Loosen the screws and remove the fixing bracket.

7.

Pull out the UV lamp straightforwardly, taking care not to break it.

WARNING

Make sure that POWER switch is turned OFF before replacing the lamp, and that it is cool enough for
replacement. (It takes about 10 minutes for the lamp to cool off after POWER switch is turned OFF.)
