Failure

W7601A,B required and not
present.

Symptoms

W7600A-F Control Module LED

blinks on and off 25 times in 10
seconds.

W7601A,B Required and not
Present

 displayed on the S7600A.

Cause

User has configured the applica-
tion to use a W7601A,B Expan-
sion Module and the device is not
connected to the W7600A-F.

W7600A-F Action

Analog inputs become not avail-
able, thus disabling algorithms
that use analog inputs. Missing
digital inputs and digital and ana-
log outputs cannot be used by
PM7600 algorithms.

Remedies

• If an Expansion Module is not

connected, the user must re-
enter the configuration for the
system using the ZM7601/
ZM7603 Software and down-
load that configuration to the
W7600A-F base module.

• If an Expansion Module is con-

nected, turn off power to the
W7600A-F and carefully
check connection between
W7600A-F, Q7600G and Ex-
pansion Module. Tighten con-
nection and reapply power.
Observe results.

• Turn off power to the

W7600A-F, remove the
Q7600G, and install the ex-
pansion module directly onto
the W7600A-F. Reapply
power. If the failure is gone,
replace the Q7600; otherwise,
try a known good expansion
module. If the failure is cor-
rected, replace W7601A,B. If
not, replace base.

Failure

A/D 50/60 Hz line failure.

Symptoms

• W7600A-F Control Module

LED is blinking at a rate of 25 on
and off blinks per 10 second pe-
riod.

•

Bad 50/60 Hz line or hardware

displayed on the S7600A.

Cause

Analog to digital converter test
failed.

W7600A-F Action

All the W7600 applications that
rely on analog inputs will be dis-
abled. Outputs will fail to their nor-
mally wired position.

Remedies

• Check to ensure that input con-

nections are wired correctly and
connectors are not offset by one
pin when plugged to W7600A-F
connectors.

• Power down device and remove

W7601A,B. Reapply power and
observe condition. If the prob-
lem is corrected, replace the
W7601A,B Expansion Module.

• If this problem is not corrected,

turn off power to the device,
remove all I/O connections (in-
cluding S7600A), and then re-
apply power. Again, check to
ensure that input connections
are wired correctly and the con-
nectors were not offset by one
pin when plugged to W7600A-F
connectors.

• If problem still persists, power

down device and remove
Q7600G Communication Mod-
ule. Reapply power and observe
condition. If the problem is cor-
rected, replace the Q7600G
Communication Module.

• If problem still persists, power

down device, reapply power,
and observe operating condition.
Repeat process. If this process
fails, replace W7600A-F.
