Stripe Hog Operation
At this point all waterblasting functions, including
the hydraulic system and hydrostatic drive, are ac-
tivated and the truck is considered in Work Mode.
CAUTION
THE UHP PUMP WILL BE DAMAGED IF THE OMSI DRIVE PTO
IS ENGAGED WITHOUT ACTIVATING THE TRANSMISSION
PTO AND CHARGE PUMP.
MAKE SURE THE TRANSMISSION PTO AND CHARGE PUMP
SWITCHES ARE ACTIVATED TO PROVIDE WATER TO THE
UHP PUMP FOR COOLING AND LUBRICATION WHENEVER
THE OMSI DRIVE PTO IS ENGAGED. NEVER ACTIVATE THE
OMSI PTO WITHOUT ACTIVATING THE TRANSMISSION PTO
AND CHARGE PUMP.
8.
Use the dial on the Engine Remote Control
to set the RPM for the desired blasting pres
-
sure. The RPM of the vacuum system is set
in conjunction with the 40K PSI pump RPM.
1800-2300 RPM
9. Use Dump Valve switch on the control panel to
activate high pressure at the spray bar.
10. Check the nozzle spray pattern and the spray
bar weep holes for leaks.
11.
Check all High pressure hose fittings and the
Hog Head for leaks.
12. With the pressure set and the spray bar and
nozzles working properly, turn OFF the Dump
Valve switch, then lower the Hog Head.
13.
Release the truck parking brake - truck cannot
move hydraulically unless brake is released.
14.
Use the Head Rotation speed dial to set the
initial spray bar rotation speed.
15. Use the Truck Speed dial in the control panel
to set the desired truck speed.
16. With the truck moving, press the Dump Valve
switch and begin blasting operations.
WARNING
ANY CONTACT WITH HIGH PRESSURE WATER IS VERY
DANGEROUS AND CAN BE FATAL! USE EXTREME CAUTION
RAISING OR MOVING HOG HEAD & ARM ASSEMBLY IF HIGH
PRESSURE IS ENGAGED.

WHEN THE TRUCK IS STOPPED AND/OR THE SPRAY BAR
IS NOT ROTATING.
Shutdown Procedure:
1. Shutdown High Pressure by turning OFF the
Dump Valve switch.
2. Allow the vacuum blower to operate for a
couple of minutes after shutting down the high
pressure and charge water pumps to clear
waste water from hoses and dry out blower
system.
3.
Raise the Hog Head to the full “UP” and locked
position.
4.
Reduce the engine speed to idle.
5. Press the clutch pedal and disengage the
OMSI PTO.
6.
Put the Truck Transmission in “N” (NEUTRAL).
7. Turn the PTO and Charge Pump switches to
“OFF”.
8. Turn all other switches and dials on the control
panels to “OFF” or “0”.
9. Make sure the Hog Arm locking lever is en-
gaged and secure it with a safety strap to
ensure the locking lever cannot accidentally
be released during transportation.
10. Lower the hood hinge system to the driving/
full closed and latched position.
WARNING
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT BOTH PTO SWITCHES ARE
FULLY DISENGAGED TO ENSURE THAT NONE OF THE
FUNCTIONS WILL OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY.
11. Drain waste water from the vacuum canister.
Close the valve when draining is complete.
12. When the truck is parked, set the parking
brake and allow the engine to run for several
minutes to cool internal components, then shut
off the engine.
