6.7 Install shielded USB cables.
to avoid problems with black cameras, freezing machines or static electricity in the camera chips,
the manufacturer updated the camera cable from USB connector on the backside of the computer
to the camera chips. What has to be done?
- replace camera chips without USB connector (B)
- replaced the unshielded cables from both camera chip to the cam control board.
- replaced the unshielded cable from camera control board to the main computer.
Replace the camera chip without USB connector
On the old camera chip was a USB connector with an unshielded plastic plug. This made troubles
with static electricity. If there is a machine that has problems with that, the exchange of the
camera chip is the first step to do the update of the machine.
Open the camera housing and check the camera chip which is installed. If you have a connector
like shown in the right picture there is nothing to do. If you have the plastic connector change both
camera chips.
