Once the
Tools
option has been selected, the Fig. 7-9 window appears. 7-9. The
functions described in that figure can be accessed from there. A fast way to access
this window is by pressing the [Menu] key three times in a row. If it is pressed a
fourth time, it goes back to the main
MENU
window.

The
Autoscale
function automatically adjusts the scale of the curves. This optimi-
zes the size of the curves according to the size of the area assigned for each graph.
The description of the
Autoscale function is in the Graphics management chapter.
Entering [Menu]>>Tools>>Suction configuration gives access to the window
where the Suction period and the %O
2
enrichment can be changed (see Table 7-4
Fig. 7-10).
The Suction period determines the time allocated to suction, during which the ven-
tilator does not provide mandatory breaths.
The %O
2
enrichment is a value that is added to the O
2
concentration that is present
in the current ventilation.
For example, if the breaths delivered have a 50% oxygen concentration and an
