principles. It is, therefore, necessary to configure the PSV parameters to ensure
that support is present in spontaneous breaths.

Backup Ventilation
is disabled by default. In this case it must, at least, be ensured
that the patient will receive ventilation that is equal to the configuration of the
mandatory VCV. It can be enabled by configuring the Backup Ventilation line in
the MENU window.
