Function

Counts transitions of a digital signal. Maximum count
2

Count mode is either positive edge, negative edge, or both
edges.

A digital input enables/disables counting.

A flag is set when the count exceeds a defined value.

The count is cleared when a defined period without countable
transitions has elapsed.

Inputs

input: The digital signal to be counted

enable: A digital signal that enables the counter

reset: A digital signal that clears the counter (level sensitive)

Outputs

count: The current counter value

flag: Set when counter >= match value
