STEP 6:
Set a new administrator password. Although shown checked here, the “Allow
remote administration” checkbox should only be checked if you want to be
able to access these configuration screens via the station LAN or WAN. If this
box is not checked, then only a local connection to the front of the eCDi™
unit will allow access to the configuration screens.
STEP 7:
Set the Location of the box and/or any call letters. This is used by the browser
applet, email and SNMP.
STEP 8:
Set the correct time and date. This information is used for time stamping of the
metering and fault logs. Use the pull down menu to select the appropriate time
zone.
STEP 9:
Time Server IP (recommended): If there is a time server available on the local
network it will be auto-detected or can be set manually. An internet time erver
could also be used. If no time server is specified, the internal pc clock will be
used and will require manual setting at frequent intervals for accurate time
stamping of logs.
NOTE:
Time Zone setting will affect the time even when a Time Server is used.
