On Demand Pilot Light (seven day safety timer)
Important information if using the appliance in CPI (continuous pilot mode) only
ThisapplianceisaProFlame2systemfittedwiththe“OnDemand”Pilot,asafetyfeaturewhichwillshutdownthegasvalvecompletely
byextinguishingthepilotlightintheeventofacontinuousfullsevendaysofinactivity.
ThisonlyappliesiftheCPI(continuouspilot)switchisinthe“on”positioninyourremotecontroltransmitter.
Eachtimethemainburnershutsdown,manuallyorthroughthecallfromthethermostat,thesevendaytimerstartsagain.
Thesevendayinactivitytimeriscontrolledwithinthecircuitboard.Therefore,ifinCPImodeandwhenthepilotlightisextinguished
aftersevenstraightdaysofinactivity,theCPIsettingontheremotecontroltransmitterwillremaininthe“CPI”(continuouspilot)position.
Therefore,allthatisrequiredtorelightthepilotwouldbetopresstheon/offbuttonontheremotecontroltransmitterfrom“on”to“off”and
backto“on”.Oncethepilothasre-establishedoperationwillresumeasnormal.ThereisnorequirementtodoanythingwiththeIPI/CPI
modeontheremotecontroltransmitter.
Iftheunitnevergoesaslongassevenfulldayswithoutacallforheat,thepilotwillremainlituntilitismanuallyshut-off.
IftheunitisbeingoperatedinIPI(intermittentpilot)mode,neithertheaboveinstructionsnorthesevendaytimerwillapply.
