Precautions
These venting systems are engineered products
thathavebeendesignedandtestedforusewith
theH27E-NG11,andH27E-LP11.Thewarrantywill
bevoidedandseriousfire,healthorothersafety
hazardsmayresultfromanyofthefollowingactions:
1) InstallationofanydamagedDirectVentcom-
ponent
2) Unauthorized modification of the DirectVent
System
3) InstallationotherthanasinstructedbySimpson
Dura-VentandFPIFireplaceProductsInterna-
tionalLtd.
Warning: Always maintain required
clearances (air spaces) to nearby
combustibles to prevent a fire hazard.
Do not fill air spaces with insulation.
Be sure to check the vent termination clearance
requirements from decks, windows, soffits, gas
regulators,airsupplyinletsandpublicwalkwaysas
specifiedinthe"ExteriorVentTerminalLocations"
sectionandinyourlocalbuildingcodes.
The gas appliance and vent system must be
vented directly to the outside of the building,
and never be attached to a chimney serving a
separate solid fuel or gas-burning appliance.
Eachdirectventgasappliancemustuseitsown
separateventsystem.Commonventsystemsare
prohibited.
Venting
Introduction
TheHorizontalTerminationKitandother
approvedventingsystemsaspertableonnextpage,
incombinationwiththeDirectVentFreestanding
GasStoves,H27E-NG11,andH27E-LP11,have
beentestedandlistedasdirectventheatersystems
byWarnockHersey.
Theseunitsusethe"balancedflue"technology
Co-Axial system. The inner liner vents products
ofcombustiontotheoutsidewhiletheouterpipe
drawsoutsidecombustionairintothecombustion
chambertherebyeliminatingtheneedtouseheated
roomairforcombustionandlosingwarmroomair
upthechimney.
Note: These flue pipes must not be
connected to any other appliance.
Thegasapplianceandventsystemmustbevented
directly to the outside of the building, and never
beattachedtoachimneyservingaseparatesolid
fuelorgasburningappliance.Eachdirectventgas
appliancemustuseit'sownseparateventsystem.
Commonventsystemsareprohibited.

3) Beawareofelectricalwiringlocationsinwalls
andceilings.

Position
TosettheVentrestrictionasindicatedinthedia-
gramsin"VentingArrangements"section,simply
loosenthescrewsandpushtheventrestrictorplate
tothecorrectposition.Tightenthescrews.

1. Removetopcasting.
2. Removeall4screwsthatsecure
theelbowtotheunitusinga1/4"
magneticnutdriver.
3.Rotatetheelbow180

4.Securetheelbowbysecuring
itwiththe4screws.
