Note: The pipe seam should
be facing down.
Note: To make the installation more aes-
thetically pleasing, we recommend
framing out a square that the cap
can be mounted on.
3) Attachthe4"dia.flexlinertotheventterminal
ensuringthattheflexoverlapsthecollarofthe
ventterminalbyaminimumof1-3/8"(35mm).
UseMill-Pactosealandsecurewith3ofthe
#8x1/2"screws(stainlesssteel).
4) Attachtheadjustablepipesectiontothevent
terminalusingMill-Pacattachwith3ofthe#8
x1/2"screws(stainlesssteel).
NOTE: For best results and optimum perfor-
mance with each approved venting
system, it is highly recommended to
apply “Mill-Pac” sealant (supplied) to
every inner pipe connection. Failure
to do so may result in drafting or
performance issues not covered
under warranty.
Note: If installing ter-
mination on a
siding covered
wall, a vinyl sid-
ing standoff or
furring strips
must be used to
ensure that the
termination is
not recessed into the siding. For
vinyl siding standoff installation
refer to the Dura-Vent Termination
instructions.
5) Slidethepartiallyconnectedpipeandvent
terminal assembly through the wall thim-
bles(fromtheexteriorintotheinterior)and
securethecaptotheexteriorwallwith4of
thesuppliedscrews(#8x1-1/2"drillpoint,
stainlesssteel).Note:pilotholeswillneed
tobedrilledthroughthewallthimbleonall
4corners.
Note: The four screws provided for the
vent cap should be replaced with
appropriate fasteners for stucco,
brick, concrete, or other types of
sidings.
6) Abeadofnon-hardeningmasticshouldbe
runaroundboththeterminationandvinyl
sidingstandofftopreventwaterfromentering
andtomakeatightsealbetweenthecap
andthestandoff.
7) Stretchthe4"dia.flexlineroutfullyandget
atrialfitofthelinerontothe4"dia.starter
collar.
8) Cutthe4"dia.flexlinertothedesiredsize.
Hint:leaveanextra12"to16"oflength,this
willmakethefinalassemblyeasiertowork
with.
9) Securethe4"dia.flexlinertothe4"adapterwith
Mill-Pacand3ofthe#8x1/2"screws(stainless
steel).
10)SlidethedecorativeThimbleCoveroverthepipe
sectionsandsecurewith4screws(#8x1-1/2"
drillpoint,black)tothewall.
11)Slide the 90
o
elbow (crimp end up), the 45
o
elbowandthe4ft.pipesection(crimpendup)
overthe4"dia.flexliner.
12)Installthespringspacersontothepipesections.
13)Securethe4"dia.flexlinerwithadapteronto
thestovecollar.PutabeadofMill-Pacaround
theapplianceadapterandsecurewith3screws
(#8x1/2,stainlesssteel).
14)Attachthe45 o elbowontothestartercollarby
sealingwithMill-Pacsecuringwith3ofthe#8
x1/2"(black)screws.
15)Attach the pipe section to the 45
o
elbow by
sealingwithMill-Pacsecuringwith3ofthe#8
x 1/2" screws (black). Pipe seams should be
facingthewall.
16)Attachthe90
o
elbowontothepipesectionby
sealingwithMill-Pacsecuringwith3ofthe#8
x1/2"screws(black).
17)Slidetheadjustablepipesectionontothe90
o
elbow.Slidethetrimcollarovertheadjustable
pipesectionstocoverthejointofthetelescopic
section.Theflexmayhavetobecompressed
backinorderfortheadjustablepipetoproperly
matetotheelbow.SealwithMill-Pacsecurewith
3ofthe#8x1/2"screws(black).Pipeseams
facingdown.
18)Installthetrimcollaroverthestartercollarand
securewitha#8x1/2"screw(black).
