Collimator Lamp voltage Selection Procedure
Before starting this procedure ensure that the XT control board and the Collimator lamp are
accessible (refer to Collimator SM for instructions).
1. Select on digital multimeter:
−
V
AC
function
−
Auto range (or manual range > 240 V
AC
).
2. Measure the actual voltage at Collimator lamp bulb base with the lamp switched ON.
3.
With The GE type lamp,
ensure that voltage is greater than 23V when the electrical jumper
J11 is in place.
4.
With The Philips type lamp,
if the voltage is within 21.5
−
V
AC
24V
AC
range be sure that one
of the electrical jumper position next to J9 or J10 cannot be used to set the voltage closer to
22.5V
AC
(always above 21. V
AC
), this depends on the actual room line voltage available on
your system.
If so, then move jumper from J10 to J9. (Refer to table below for tap selection voltages).

100 and correct line voltage setting on generator.
If the input line is correct, move the electrical jumper to a more appropriate position in order to
keep the voltage within 21.5 and 24 V
AC
and idealy close to 22.5 V
AC
for the Philiips lamp and
greater than 23 V
AC
for the GE lamp.
6. Record actual final voltage reading at Collimator lamp bulb base only if you have to do HHS
measurement on your system.
