Ray Tube Installation
Note:
Spacers are only required for MX75 X
−
ray tubes.
1. Mount the MX100 X
−
ray tube with cable mounting bracket on the XT Suspension support and
position it to align with the holes located on the front side of XT Suspension support. Insert
screws to hold the X
−
ray tube.
2. Level the tube so that the output window is horizontal.
3. Tighten the four screws (M6x35) to attach the X
−
ray tube and adapter to the XT Suspension
support (screws are furnished in the XT box).
5.2
Cable Connections (MIS 10680) and Conduit Routing
THE COMMON LEAD ON THE MPH STATOR CABLE IS NOT CONNECTED
TO GROUND CABLE.
CONNECT GROUND CABLE PROVIDED ON XT TO X
−
RAY TUBE HOUSING.
1. Secure stator cable shield to fan mounting bracket using the supplied clamp, bolt and nut.
Connect stator leads to terminal strip as indicated in the MIS MAP and MIS CHART of this
Manual.
To route the stator cable correctly, see illustration 13

5.3
Collimator Installation
1. Rotate the X
−
Ray Tube support so bottom side of tube unit faces up.
2. Fasten the Collimator on the X
−
Ray tube unit with four 1/4 x 1 1/16 in screws.
For ULTRANET Collimator use supplied spanner wrench to tighten the Collimator coupling
ring.
LOCTITE THREADLOCKER MUST BE APPLIED DURING INSTALLATION TO
PREVENT THE SET SCREWS FROM BACKING OUT OVER TIME.
INSTALL AND TIGHTEN THE THREE SET SCREWS (DOWELS) INTO
COLLIMATOR LOCKING RING. YOU MUST FOLLOW THE INSTALLATION
PROCEDURE OF COLLIMATOR SERVICE MANUAL CHAPTER 3 TO
ENSURE THE COLLIMATOR IS SAFELY SECURED ON THE INTERFACE
PLATE.
