PRELIMINARY STEPS
Always use extreme caution when removing XT Column shipping rod. The
counterpoise should be wound for a maxiray 100 when you receive it.. If
this is not the case, a quick check can be made by pulling on the cable
from the counterpoise. If it is taut, it is probably wound.
Also note that the vertical lock is on when the power is off. The vertical
lock will support approximately 30 lbs. This does not mean that the
counterpoise is set correctly.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURES
Note:
− During HLA the X−Ray tube unit is aligned with the Collimator Interface Plate.
In the field it is only necessary to mount the X−ray Tube assembly on the XT Tube Support arm
and install the collimator following instructions in Job Card IST001.
− The Collimator Interface Plate is adjusted parallel to the X−Ray tube axis so that the middle of the
two focal spots is centered on Collimator Alignment Tool crosshair.
