4.0 ACCESSORIES
4.1 AUTOMATIC ELECTRIC OPERATION OF THE DOSERS
On request, the manufacturer will supply a device with which the
electric motor, and therefore seed distribution, can be started
and stopped automatically.
This device is attached to a roller or a wheel that moves only
during sowing (Fig. 18): a sensor detects the pulses as the wheel/
roller moves and transmits them to the electric motor that
therefore starts seed distribution. When the movement stops no
pulses will be detected and so seed distribution will stop.
During sowing, the detection of the pulses, and consequently
actual seed distribution, will be indicated by a LED (B Fig. 17) on
the consol.
IMPORTANT
For successful outcome of the work it is important to sow for
a short stretch and then check that the placing of the seeds in
the soil is regular and that the correct quantity of seed is being
distributed. Repeat this operation at regular intervals for the
whole sowing session.
5.0 MAINTENANCE
Here follows a list of various maintenance operations to be carried
out periodically. Lowered operating costs and a longer lasting
seeding machine depend, among others, on the methodical and
constant observation of mese rules.
CAUTION
- The maintenance periods listed in this booklet are only indi-
cative and are for on normal conditions on use, therefore be
varied depending the kind of service, the more or less dusty
surroundings, seasonal factors, etc. For more serious
conditions of service, maintenance will logically be done more
often.
- Before injecting grease, the nipples must be cleaned to avoid
mud, dust and foreign bodies from mixing with the grease,
otherwise they will reduce or even annul the effect of the
lubrication.
ATTENTION
- Always keep oils and grease out of reach of children.
- Always read warnings and precautions indicated on the
containers carefully.
- Avoid skin-contact.
- After use wash the equipment thoroughly.
- Treat the used oils and polluting liquids in conformity with the
laws in force.
IMPORTANT
When carrying out maintenance work pay particular attention
to the electrical parts of the implement.
Danger of shocks. Beware of electric shocks.
5.0.1 WHEN THE MACHINE lS NEW
- Dopo le prime ore di funzionamento, occorre verificare il
serraggio di tutte le viti e bulloni.
5.0.2 EVERY 20/30 WORKING HOURS
- Verificare il serraggio dei bulloni.
- Ingrassare le catene di trasmissione.
5.0.3 EVERY 50 WORKING HOURS
- Effettuare una completa ed accurata pulizia dei corpi distribu-
tori.
5.0.4 SETTING ASIDE
At the end of the season, or if a long period of rest is for seen it is
advisable:
1) Carefully empty all the seed from the hopper and distribution
ass’y.
2) Wash the equipment with a lot of water, especially the tanks
of the chemical substances, and than dry them.
3) Carefully check worn or damaged parts and replace if
necessary.
4) Tighten all screws and bolts.
5) Grease the drive chains, oil all the drive chains, spread
lubricant on all the parts not painted.
6) Protect the equipment with a (nylon) cover.
7) Then put it in a dry place, do not move it and where it is out of
reach of un authorized people.
8) Never leave live electrical parts. Make sure the LED (C Fig.
17) is off.
If these operations are done carefully, it will be to the total
advantage of the user because when work is recommenced, he
will find the equipment in perfect conditions.
ATTENZION
Keep the implement in a dry, covered place.
If this is not possible, we ADVISE protecting it with a canvas
sheet paying particular attention to the electrical parts.
