11.0 INTRODUCTION
This booklet describes the regulations for use and maintenance
for seeding machine. This booklet is an integrating part of the
product, and must be kept in a safe place for consultation during
the whole life span of the machine.
ATTENTION
The customer should instruct personnel on accident risks, on
the operator safety devices provided, on noise emission risks
and on general accident prevention regulations provided for by
the international directives and by the law in the country in which
the machines are used.
In any case, the machine should be used exclusively by skilled
operators who will be held to follow scrupulously the technical
and accident-prevention instructions in this manual.
It is the user's responsibility to check that the machine is operated
only in optimum conditions of safety for people, animals and
property.
The product complies with the following European Standards:
- 98/37 CE Machine Directive that abrogates and includes
Directives 89/392 EEC, 91/368 EEC, 94/44 EEC and 93/68 EEC.
- 89/336 EEC (Concerning the bringing together of member
countries' regulations on electrical material destined for use
within certain voltage limits).
For machine conformity the following standards have been used:
- EN 292-1:1992 (Safety of machinery) Basic concepts, general
design principles. Terminology and basic methodology.

- EN 292-2:1992 (Safety of machinery) Basic concepts, general

1.1 DESCRIPTION OF THE SEEDER
The VITIGREEN model is an integrated planter for broadcasting
lucerne, clover, rape and other types of non-thread-like small
seed, and is ideal for turfing vineyards and orchards. This farm
implement is designed to work in combination with the MASCHIO
DL Vigneto harrow.
However, thanks to the hopper support bar and to the supports
supplied, its adaptation to various types of farm implement or to
working independently is made easy. The seeds are distributed
continually by toothed rollers, one for each seed delivery tube,
driven by an electric motor with the possibility of using four gear
ratios.
The electric motor can be started manually with the electric "ON
- OFF" control from a consol, or through an automatic electric
drive unit located on the rear roller of the harrow.
The implement is available for a working width of 1.3 and 1.5
metres or 1.8 and 2.0 metres.
ATTENTION
The seeder is suitable only for the uses indicated. Any other
use different from that described in these instructions could
cause damage to the machine and represent a serious hazard
for the user.
Regular operation depends on the correct use and adequate
maintenance of the equipment. It is advisable therefore to observe
scrupulously what is described in order to prevent any
inconveniences that could prejudicate proper operation and
duration.
It is just as important to keep to what is described in this booklet
since the Manufacturer declines all responsibility due to
negligence and non-observance of these rules.
At any rate the Manufacturer is available to assure immediate
and accurate technical assistance and all that may be necessary
for the improved operation and better performance of the
equipment.
1.2 GUARANTEE
- On delivery, check that the equipment has not been damaged
during transport and that the accessories are integral and com-
plete.
- Possible claims must be presented in writing within eight
days of receipt.
- The purchaser will enforce his rights on the guarantee only
when he has respected the conditions concerning the benefit
of the guarantee, set out in the supply contract.
- The guarantee is valid for one year, against all defects of material,
from the date of delivery of the equipment.
- The guarantee does not include working and shipping costs
(the material is shipped at the consignee’s own risk).
- Obviously, all damage to persons or things are excluded from
the guarantee.
- The guarantee is limited to the repair or replacement of the
defective part, according to the instructions of the Manufacturer.
Dealers or users may not claim any indemnity from the
Manufacturer for any damage they may suffer (costs for labor,
transport, defective workmanship, direct or indirect accidents,
loss of earnings on the harvest, etc.).
1.2.1 EXPIRY OF GUARANTEE
Besides what has already been set out in the supply contract,
the guarantee expires:
- If the limits set out in the technical data table are overshot.
- If the instructions set out in this booklet have not been carefully
followed.
- If the equipment is used badly, defective maintenance or other
errors by the client.
- If modifications have been carried out without written
authorization of the manufacturer and if non original spare parts
have been used.
