3.4.2 DISTRIBUTING ROLLERS
The distributing rollers (A Fig. 15) move lengthways, inside the
spiral, and the lever (B) allows the filling volume of each roller to
be changed.
The lever moves along a graduated scale that allows a seed
distribution rate ranging from 2 to 360 kg/ha.
The seeds selected by the distributing rollers are conveyed along
the seed delivery tubes to the scattering bar (10 Fig. 3).

3.4.3 GEAR RATIOS
An additional gear (Z20) is provided, to replace the standard
gear Z10 (Fig. 16), for use with large quantities of seed.
Gear change
- Slacken the screws of the gearbox casing (A Fig. 16) with
wrench n°10 and take it off;
- Take out the split pin (B) and replace the gear with the one
supplied;
- Lock the gear in place with the split pin;
- Put the gearbox casing back on.
3.4.4 SEED PLANTING TABLES
Information for correct seed distribution can be obtained from
the seed planting tables. The information to bear in mind is:
- Quantity of seed in kg/ha
- working width (1300, 1500, 1800 or 2000);
- type of seed (lucerne, clover, rape, etc.);
- forward work speed (km/h);
- motor speed (VEL. 1 or VEL. 2);
- position of the lever of the distributing rollers (0-100) on the
graduated scale (C Fig. 15).

Bear in mind that the values provided by the a.m. tables are
indicative only, because the quantity of even the same type of
seed distributed may vary according to specific weight,
moisture content, seed quality, and sizing, soil condition.
3.4.5 SOWING TEST
Before carrying out the sowing test, make sure there are no
foreign bodies in the hopper.
With the seed tank closed, close the roller adjustment lever
completely. Put a small quantity of seed inside the tank.
Position the roller adjustment lever according to the value
obtained from the table in relation to the working width, the type of
seed and the quantity to be distributed.
CAUTION
Danger of damage to the distributing rollers: change the
position of the lever (B Fig.15) only when the distributing rollers
are rotating or when the hopper is closed.
The test is carried out with five seed delivery tubes only; therefore
position a bucket at their ends to collect the seeds.
Put the switch (C Fig. 14) in "Sowing Test" position and equip
yourself with a means of timing (chronometer, watch, etc.).
Switch on (A Fig. 14) for 120 seconds. It is obligatory to close the
hopper cover (13 Fig. 3), before starting distribution.
To obtain the quantity per hectare (kg/ha) multiply the weight of
seed collected by the factor given in table 2. If the value obtained
is lower or higher than the one you want, open or close the lever
by a few units and repeat the test.
CAUTION
Danger of damage to the distributing rollers: set a lower
quantity of product only when the distributing rollers are
rotating or when the hopper is closed.
When the test is finished, put the seed delivery tubes back in
their original positions.

Once the test has been finished, to obtain the quantity per hectare
(kg/ha) multiply the weight of seed collected by the factor (0,146)
given in table 2.
