Synchronization detection

A mirror deflects the laser beam from the polygon mirror to the synchronization
detection board. The detection board responses are sent to the MCU laser
exposure controller as synchronization signals for LD exposure start position
across the main scan.

Synchronization detection error

If a synchronization detection signal is not detected within a certain period (about
500

µ

s) after the LD turns on, the MCU assumes that there is a synchronization

detection error. (SC 43 is displayed.)
