Paper size detection
Paper size detection is based on the three paper size switches [A] on the main
unit, which detect the setting of the paper size dial [B] on the paper tray.
The paper size dial has grooves and ridges on the side facing the paper size
switches. Each switch turns off when it falls into a groove, and turns on when a
ridge presses it.
