Removing peripheral modules
You remove peripheral modules as follows:
1.
Switch off the operating and load voltage supplies.
2.
Remove the device from the H-rail if necessary (see Section 2.5 for information on dis-
assembling the device).
3.
Apply gentle pressure to the upper and lower mechanical latches on the left side (see
the arrow in the diagram below) to unlatch them.
Caution
Inappropriate handling can bend pins on the bus plug.
Proceed with caution when removing peripheral modules.
4.
Carefully withdraw the peripheral module from the device.
5.
Replace the right side cover of the bus plug on the device (to protect against dirt and
damage by electrostatic discharge upon contact).
