Using Compact Flash memory cards
To operate the controller CECX-K-D1, a Compact Flash memory card with the appropriate
firmware and if applicable application must be inserted in the Compact Flash plug-in slot.
The memory card can be used to store machine data (e.g. tool data and recipes) depend-
ing on the application used. The memory card cannot be used as a removable storage me-
dium since system programs are also stored on it. The following Compact Flash card is
supported:

Precautionary measures when dealing with Compact Flash memory cards
Caution
Inappropriate handling of Compact Flash memory cards can dam-
age the card.
Do
not
remove or insert the memory card during operation.
Do
not
switch off the device while it is writing to the memory
card.
Do
not
force the memory card into the slot.
Do
not
drop or bend the memory card.
Keep the memory card away from moisture, heat and direct
sunlight.
Keep the memory card away from electrostatic sources or mag-
netic fields.
The memory card is designed so it can only be inserted in the device in one direction. The
memory card should simply slide into the slot. The status LED beside the Eject button
lights up when the device is writing to or reading from the memory card.
