On-the-spot diagnostics via 7-segment display 

Errors can occur or be present during the transitions between the respective operating 
states (e.g. STOP to RUN) of the controller. These errors are displayed in the 7-segment 
display as a character sequence together with the current status. Each individual charac-
ter in the sequence is shown one after the other at 1-second intervals.  

The error display can be quit by briefly pressing the CTRL key. The normal status display 
then resumes. 

Example: Display during start-up of the firmware 

The following character sequence indicates the error 51 in the "Load Firmware" status (no 
firmware found):
